AI in healthcare series: The Last mile: validation of AI algorithms in healthcare
28 July 2022 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Join us online to hear from Dr Daniel Capurro, who is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Health in the School of Computing and Information Systems and Deputy Director of the Centre for the Digital Transformation of Health, both at the University of Melbourne.
Artificial Intelligence has emerged as an extremely attractive set of tools to solve many healthcare problems. However, the path towards their adoption for routine care is still full of barriers and uncertainties. In this workshop we will discuss about the existing need to validate AI algorithms, the barriers to do so, and some ways researchers are addressing this gap.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
This is a free workshop but registrations are essential.
Venue: online via Zoom
Time and date: Thursday 28th of July 2022, 5-6pm AEST
Please RSVP by 27th of July.
The AI in healthcare series is supported by the Medical Research Future Fund.
