The MAIN Project – Volunteers needed
Do you have ideas on how we can improve the way we deliver information about research studies to people? We would value hearing from you.
The Meeting Access and Inclusion Needs, or the MAIN project, is a program looking at ways to enhance how information about clinical research can be provided to people. Based on the feedback we receive, we hope to develop a set of guidelines and tools to make sure information is accessible, easy to read and understand.
Why we need your views
- Help in considering how research information can be best provided to people considering being involved in research.
- Feedback on the process of obtaining consent to take part in research.
- We would like to develop a set of resources that may assist clinical research organisations with providing accessible information to people.

Your time commitment
You can choose to be involved in as little or as much as you like.
Options for involvement include:
- Completing a survey. The survey can take around 15 minutes to complete. If you wish to complete the survey online, scroll down to the link to “Take the Survey”. The survey can also be posted to you or administered over the phone. Contact Fleur on her details provided below to request your preference.
- Attending a group discussion (also called a focus group meeting) online or in person. These meetings usually run for 60 to 90 minutes.
- Providing feedback over the phone. Phone calls to provide feedback usually take up to 60 minutes.
